National Public Health Week  (NPHW) is the week for you.

Since 1995, the American Public Health Association (APHA) has designated the first full week in April as #NPHW. Why? “…to recognize the contributions of public health and highlight issues that are important to improving our nation.”

During NPHW (weeks after), APHA, schools and programs of public health, health care organizations, not-for-profits and others sponsor forums, social media chats, walks and runs, community breakfasts, reports, health fairs, seminars, photo/video contests, flash mobs, forums, and much more, many of which are open to the general public. (See events calendar.)

So, take advantage of this week (each year) to connect with public health and the folks who are passionate about it!
